So it' been a while since I've actually written a post...oh dear. Sometimes life just gets a bit busy and you get caught up with the everyday mundane things that you have to do in life that there's not enough time to do the things you actually want to do. For me this includes having the time to blog, but anyway I'm back with a new concealer to review- the NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Concealer. For years I have used the same concealer combination which is using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer on my face and the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer under the eyes however for a while now I've wanted to find a concealer that works great for both purposes not just one. There have been many new concealers that have been released recently however this one particularly caught my eye because people were saying that it is a dupe for the new Fenty Pro Filt'r concealer. Now I don't have that one to compare it too, so I'm just going to tell you about this one instead.

As I couldn't get hold of this in a store when it first came out I decided to order 4 shades from the Cult Beauty website as I didn't know exactly what shade I would be. The ones I bought were Fair, Alabaster, Light Ivory & Vanilla which is the exact order from lightest to darkest that would suit my skin tone. It turns out that Light Ivory was the one that suited me the most for now, so that's the one I tested out. 



I put this on a Saturday at around 2pm and tested it both under the eyes and on the rest of my face and used it as my only base product so I could give it a proper test as a lot of the time I use concealer as my only base product as I don't have time to put on both concealer and foundation most days. When you apply it it almost glides onto the skin seamlessly with the doe foot applicator and the formula feels very soft and comfortable on the skin however be warned as you have to work quickly as it does set pretty quickly, so as soon as you apply it make sure you blend it into the skin well and then it will start to set. I still used powder on top as I have oily/oily combination skin but if you have normal or dry skin then of course you may not want to powder it at all. Formula wise it's pretty full coverage which I was so happy with as this was what I wanted. It also lasted well without any major problems as it wore for 7 hours before I noticed any tiny parts of concealer disappearing or before my skin got particularly oily at all. So if you are in the market for a new concealer I definitely recommend you purchase this one. It's £8 so it's at an affordable price and it should soon be available in UK drugstores, so basically Boots and Superdrug, not just online. I'll put the photo of the swatches in as well so you can look at the difference in the first 4 shades.

It's been a while since I've done a proper beauty haul. Apart from picking up one or two makeup products while I pop to Boots to buy the essentials, I haven't actually bought that many new makeup items. About 3 weeks ago I think FeelUnique had a sale on lots of items from all of the beauty categories that they sell, so I couldn't help but take a look myself and luckily I found some really great products at some brilliant prices, so I'm gunna talk about what I bought while also giving you a mini review of each product (if I've used it yet). So lets get started!

One of the first brands I had a look through was Maybelline as I've been obsessed with their lipsticks recently, so I had to buy a backup of the Maybelline Colorsensational in Nude Embrace. I actually wrote a review of this recently as it's been my most worn lipstick of the year so far. The reason why I love it is because it's the perfect brown/beige nude lipstick for my skin tone (and it would suit many people too) also it's in a matte formula so it lasts for a long time on the lips too. For this reason I bought another shade from the range called Melted Chocolate which is more of a proper milk chocolate shade, so if you love brown lipsticks you'll love this too.

I don't always buy into the whole YouTuber/blogger products industry however if I feel that a certain product does genuinely match up to what the person is passionate about then I do sometimes buy into what they are trying to promote. In this case I bought two of the new Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lipsticks from Tanya Burr's makeup line. In the past I have bought a few of her lip glosses and I was really impressed by them, so I thought that I would give these a go too.

The two shades I got were Pink Cocoa and Big Kiss. Pink Cocoa is a really pretty and interesting pinky browny nude which is a similar colour to her liquid lip product in the shade Martha Moo. Big Kiss is a lovely slightly cool toned dark red which is perfect for Autumn and Winter time. The formula of these is like a traditional lipstick, so it's not matte nor glossy as it's somewhere in the middle, but I'm glad to say that it sits and stays on the lips really well. Longevity wise it lasts for about 4 hours on me and then the colour does start to disappear and of course if you are eating something like a big meal then most of it will come off as it's not a matte lipstick.

Packaging wise it's absolutely gorgeous! The lipstick is surrounded by gold casing which makes it look very high end even though it's a £6.99 lipstick, so that's great. The pigmentation is brilliant, one swatch and you can see the colour instantly on your hand and so then when you apply it to your lips it doesn't take long to build up the colour to how it should be.

Not too long ago I received a newsletter e-mail from L'Oreal saying that people could try out their new Nude Magique Cushion foundation, so I filled out my details and then patiently waited for the foundation to arrive so that I could try it out and review it. Not too long after that it arrived and I tried it straight away because I was so excited to use this product as I've never tried anything like it before. I know other brands started making them before (I think Lancome may have been the first?) however this is the first drugstore version so it's quite exciting.

I decided to pick the shade 03 and luckily it pretty much matches my skin tone perfectly so that was lucky! Sometimes when it comes to samples you can pick totally the wrong shade and then it ruins everything which is not great, but thank goodness I didn't this time haha. Anyway this is a very lightweight foundation but I do think it can be built up if you wanted it to provide more coverage for you. One good thing for this time of year is that it has SPF 29, so if you are out in the sun it will provide some sun protection for you which is fab!


As you can see once opened you get a sponge applicator to apply the foundation with. I actually think it's quite a good sponge to apply it with, the only thing I would say is because it's quite a small sponge you will need to wash it after a few uses, at least once a week. I like that you get a mirror with it, it just adds to the cute packaging of the whole thing.


This is what it looks like inside once you've lifted the lid. You see the 'cushion' part straight away and underneath that is where the liquid foundation is. So all you do is get the sponge applicator, pat it into the cushion foundation and then when you apply it you can either pat it in or you can glide it across you're face. What I liked about this is that it was pretty quick to apply and you also didn't need much of the product to stretch around the whole face which is good, but like I mentioned before you will need to add another layer if you want a more medium type of coverage. I still powdered my face afterwards becuase otherwise my makeup will just disappear, so if you have oily-combination skin just keep that in mind, but if you have drier skin then there probably won't be as much need to powder.

I recently made an order on the Topshop website where I bought a slip dress which is apparently on trend right now and I also bought the Mink lipstick which to me looked like a deep brown shade however when I actually received it I had an interesting thought with a different view.

Not too long ago I did a pretty big Mac haul where I bought around 5 Mac lipsticks (I'm not done yet though, I still have my eye on Mocha, I loved that shade when I last swatched it). Anyway another shade I swatched was Twig, however at the time I didn't  buy it as I wasn't sure it was for me what with having more purple tones running through it than brown tones. So when I swatched the new Topshop lipstick I got I realised that it didn't look that much different to Twig which was a very pleasant surprise! I may even make a claim that it could be a dupe for it, yep very interesting  haha. Twig is a Satin finish whilst Mink to me also looks and feels like a satin finish as it definitely doesn't have a matte look to it at all. You can be the judge for yourselves, I'll attach some swatches and what it looks like on my lips below ( I don't know how long it lasts on the lips yet as I didn't keep it on when I tested it but at least you can see what it looks like).

You really can't go wrong with wearing mid brown coloured eye shadows for an everyday look. Wear them simply across the lid for a wash of colour or take the colour across the lid and through the crease to add subtle definition. This is my newest addition to the single brown eye shadow family, it's the Rimmel London Magnif'eyes Mono Eye Shadow in the shade Millionaire. It has a touch of shimmer to it but not too much, just a bit to make it interesting. I've been wearing it almost everyday since I got it. It was actually watching one of Ruth Crilly's (A Model Recommends) channel that made me want to buy the shade and I'm so glad I did, it's only about £4ish too so it's bargin!
