Maybelline New York Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil review

So it seems that my goal to try to not buy any more lip products clearly failed. What can I say, I love lip products so much and it's so fun trying out new shades and formulas. My most recent purchase is the Maybelline New York Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in the shade Fab Orange. It's a lovely orange red shade that really adds such vibrant colour to your makeup look. It has a semi matte finish to it which is fab if you are looking for a long wearing lip product, but yet it's not at all drying on the lips which makes it so comfy to wear on your lips. As it's a lip pencil the product can be applied fairly quickly, but precisely because of course you can sharpen the pencil to a point. One thing I have to mention is that it is smaller than most lip pencils, however the price makes up for it as it only costs you £4.99 which is a really good price to pay for a great product like this.

Ignore the weird yellow light in the photo, I don't know where that came from haha, but this is what it looks like on the lips. (note I'm not the best at makeup application haha).

I hope you enjoyed this little review.

Thanks for reading my blog xxx

  2. Lovely post! I have never seen this before but it looks so good! I like that it isn't too drying even though it is a pencil X

  18. I haven't seen these in the shops yet, they seem like a good idea and they look like they are quite easy to sharpen. x

    1. Yeah have a look, they will arrive soon if they haven't already. If you buy one of those double ended pencil sharpener's that have one bigger hole and one smaller one then that should do the job of sharpening it. x
