So here's a different post for you today and it's a fashion post in fact- an outfit of the day (or OOTD for short of course). This is my go-to kind of everyday look if I want to look put together so I can go anywhere throughout the day and just fit into whatever situation and environment I'm in. On this day we went for a look round Harrods and this photo was taken in front of where the lifts were on the Women's Wear floor, we went here because it was the only place that had the best lighting and also it was out of view from all the staff and other customers haha. After that we looked around the Chanel section which was a dream and the staff made you feel quite welcomed actually. One of the staff asked if we wanted to look at some of the jewellery out of the glass casing which was nice of her to say even though clearly we were just looking, but it's the thought and service that counts. Maybe we actually looked quite classy and sophisticated that day, so we looked liked we had that kind of money to spend- only joking! but it felt great haha.
What do you think of my outfit, be honest and also what's your go-to put together/smart but casual look? Is it similar to this or different, I'd love to know.
Thanks for reading my post

I'm a big fan of online shopping and recently I've been doing a lot of it, so I'd thought I would share with you what my favourite fashion and beauty stores are and what particular pieces I tend to buy from each shop.
Ok first I'll start off with a long time favourite of mine which is New Look. I've been shopping at New Look since I was about 12 or 13 and I still think they always bring out amazing trend pieces and classic must-haves that everyone needs in their wardrobe. To be honest I buy almost anything from New Look however if I had to pick favourite things to buy it would be their shoes and outerwear as you can buy incredibly stylish shoes, boots, jackets and coats for really affordable prices, but like I've mentioned I love the whole shop and if I could I would probs buy every single thing in there haha.
Next up is Asos. My favourite things to buy from Asos has to be dresses and jeans and I tend to get them from the Petite section as I know that they will fit me well (I'm about 5ft 2inches tall, or at least that's how tall I was when I last measured myself). Recently I bought a few pairs of their own brand straight cut jeans and I've worn them so much. They are like a cross between bootcut and skinny jeans so they gently glide over any boots you wear but without completely covering them up like what would happen when people used to wear bootcut jeans. I have them in a light wash denim, a black denim and a dark denim colour and I love them!
Now for makeup! 90% of my makeup is bought in Boots stores, unless there's a brand I can't get there however most of the time you will be able to find your favourite beauty brands in Boots. There are so many reasons why I love it. Firstly they sell both drugstore and high end beauty, perfume plus health products, you get points with anything you buy (4 points for every £1 which is amazing) so it's the best points system I've come across and also they do click and collect if you can only buy a certain brand online, so that's amazing too. Also if you shop there regularly they sometimes send you vouchers through the post which can be really useful, like say if you spend £20 you'll get 200 points etc, so that's really great too.
My next choice seems like it would be a bit of a pricey shop for me to spend money in however if you want to say invest in a designer handbag or if there's a sale on and everything's reduced then House of Fraser is a fab shop to buy from. Like I mentioned I would usually buy higher end pieces like designer handbags or high end makeup and perfume from them, but they also sell highstreet brands like Miss Selfridge and Dorothy Perkins on there so sometimes I will order some shoes and clothes from there. Like Boots they also do a great points system called Recognition points where you earn points every time you shop and eventually you'll get up to a point where you'll be able to get money off your purchase or you may be able to get a product for free with your points. Like all these shops they have a Clik & Collect service, but theirs is my fave as you can collect your order the next day which is absolutely brilliant.
Another longtime favourite of mine is Topshop of course. I would say Topshop is more of a trend based store so I do tend to buy all my trendy pieces from there however they also do fab vest tops that seem to last for a really long time and of course they are famous for their jeans which I love too. My favourite jeans are the Leighs however I have one pair of Orson jeans, a ripped blue Jamie pair and a coated Joni pair, so yes I am a big fan of Topshop jeans and I think that they are well worth the money.
Forever 21 is a new favourite of mine. To me it's like a more affordable Topshop, both shops have a similar style and vibe to them however I like Forever 21 for their bags and coats & jackets. Specifically their bags as they do amazing inspired/dupes of designer handbags that most of the time look just like the real thing, they are amazing for that!
So I hope you liked this post. It's a bit of a different post for me but recently I haven't been in the mood to photograph things for product reviews for some reason so I thought this post might be all right instead. Let me know what your favourite stores are in the comments below and what you like to buy from them.
See you soon

I recently made an order on the Topshop website where I bought a slip dress which is apparently on trend right now and I also bought the Mink lipstick which to me looked like a deep brown shade however when I actually received it I had an interesting thought with a different view.
Not too long ago I did a pretty big Mac haul where I bought around 5 Mac lipsticks (I'm not done yet though, I still have my eye on Mocha, I loved that shade when I last swatched it). Anyway another shade I swatched was Twig, however at the time I didn't buy it as I wasn't sure it was for me what with having more purple tones running through it than brown tones. So when I swatched the new Topshop lipstick I got I realised that it didn't look that much different to Twig which was a very pleasant surprise! I may even make a claim that it could be a dupe for it, yep very interesting haha. Twig is a Satin finish whilst Mink to me also looks and feels like a satin finish as it definitely doesn't have a matte look to it at all. You can be the judge for yourselves, I'll attach some swatches and what it looks like on my lips below ( I don't know how long it lasts on the lips yet as I didn't keep it on when I tested it but at least you can see what it looks like).
Swatched on the back of my hand
Please ignore the spots on my face and just look at the lipstick, for some reason I had so many spots at that time haha.
I hope you can clearly see what the shade looks like from those photos. I honestly do think it's a contender for being a dupe for Mac's Twig. Do you agree with me? Let me know in the comments below.

It took me such a long time to try Topshop makeup for some reason but I'm so happy I eventually did because so far I'm impressed with what I've tried. I have two of their lipsticks so far, but today I'm going to concentrate on the one I've had for quite a few months now which is the Rio Rio lipstick. I had been looking for an affordable matte red lipstick for ages and luckily I found this one. It's a warm toned/an orange toned red lipstick that applies really easily even though it does have that matte formula which sometimes makes things harder to apply, but this is great to apply and the pigmentation is really vivid and strong giving you the colour you would expect from looking at the lipstick. On me the colour lasts pretty well, around 5 hours or so of moderately great colour then after that it would need topping up just to keep that bright red colour alive and kicking. Overall I'm really impressed with the quality of Topshop lipsticks, especially as they are really a fashion brand and not a beauty brand so they've done really well. I know that not too long ago it was their 5th birthday of their makeup range and you could buy a few of their most popular products with limited addition packaging and the Rio Rio lipstick was one of them, so if you can get your hands on that version of it I suggest you do before they all sell out. Otherwise the one with the normal packaging is of course just as good, I mean they are literally the same product just slightly different on the outside, that's all really.
What it looks like on the lips
Topshop lipsticks retail for £8 and you can buy them either in store or online.
I hope you liked this review.

So recently London Fashion Week has been the main topic on people's lips as everyone is wondering what the Autumn/ Winter trends for 2015 will be. There are some designers that let people at home see a live stream of their fashion show and Topshop was one of the ones that did do just that. This meant that anyone could see what the upcoming trends would be without having to step out of their front door, which is a pretty great thing for us who could not make it to fashion week. In this post I will run through what trends we saw in the Topshop A/W 15 show.
Fur
Faux Fur was definitely something that cropped up on the catwalk a few times. It's of course great for A/W as it keeps you lovely and warm, but it also looks very chic and expensive, when in fact this is of course fake fur( the way it should be in my opinion!). Wearing a fur coat can definitely add some oomph to an outfit and this beige colour seen at the Topshop show is a very easy colour to wear.
70s & Polo Neck Tops
It looks like the 70s trend is here to stay and so is the retro style polo tops. The ones seen here are long sleeved and made of a thin material. You can see in the first photo the polo top has that typical hippie, floral design to it and that burnt orange colour of the top really does scream 70s to me as does the pale blue, high waisted and wide legged trousers
Winter Florals
.
Florals are typically seen as spring and summer prints, however Topshop changed that. By using slightly more muted colours for the flowers in the designs, they've made it a lot easier to rock florals in the colder months as the colours used are not so in your face or neon like, which they usually are for the warmer months.
Knee High Boots
It seems like the over the knee boot has now had it's moment as the knee high boot will be the one to wear this A/W 15. I find knee high boots way more wearable than otk boots because they flatter more figures as you don't have to be tall to wear them. If you buy a black pair then you will wear them all the time as they will give you the best protection from winter weather and black boots go with everything.
Check
Check is usually a popular trend that you see during autumn and winter. At Topshop they had a brown coloured print which is a very traditional colour as it makes me think of the type of print and colour Sherlock Holmes would wear. It's just got that classic heritage, countryside look to it. Also you can see the girls are wearing loafers which again is a very traditional vintage look. There were some flat ones like these red ones, but there were also some with a slight heel to them.
Petrol Green
I'm not sure if this is a proper trend that will happen, but in the show there were a few appearances of this really dark green colour, which I describe as petrol green (even though I'm not sure that's even correct haha). It's definitely winter's answer to green that's for sure and it's nice to see a different type of colour appear on a A/W catwalk.
Embroidery
The last trend I'm going to talk about is embroidery. There were some really lovely pieces with beaded details on black velvet material that made the clothes look so pretty and precious. Embroidery gives an outfit some elegance and sophistication, but because of all the incredible designs that are sewn onto the clothing it adds a bit of fun and personality to an outfit as well.

I really hope you enjoyed reading this post. I don't do fashion posts that often, but I though it would be nice to show you the outfits at the Topshop show, especially as it's a brand that more people can actually afford, unlike with designer brands.
