August Beauty Empties

I never usually do empties posts but recently I've finished up a few products so I thought I would talk about what I've used up and how good I thought the products were.

Let's start with the Bourjois Happy Light Foundation.  This was my go to foundation for about a year or so and I still think it's a good foundation but I've tried a few new foundations and CC/BB creams recently that I think suits my skin's needs right now. As this is quite a glowy finish without powdering the skin and a semi glowy/satin finish with powdering I do find that in the summer this foundation does kind of melt of my face slightly so I haven't been wearing it recently, however I may go back to it when the winter arrives.

I eventually finished up my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water after using it non stop since about mid February. Crazy right, so it lasted me 6 months which is amazing and it only cost £4.99 I think so what a bargin it is! This removes all my face makeup so quickly and effortlessly as all you need to do is pour some of it onto a cotton pad, then swipe across your skin and all dirt and makeup is removed. It's by far my favourite skincare product.

Lastly is a sample of the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover which I got when I went shopping with my sister a while ago and because she bought one of the Clinique Pop lipsticks (or whatever they are called) she got a sample and the woman kindly added a second one in her bag for me to try- now that's what I call great customer service. Anyway I gave it a test and because I usually only use face wipes to remove my eye makeup I decided to test it for the removal of eye makeup and it worked really well. The liquid had a slightly oily but moisturising texture to it so it took pretty much seconds to remove my eye makeup. It was like the substance was breaking down and dissolving your makeup away and even though Clinique is not really within my budget I would still recommend that you try it and I would like to go back to it again some time.

I really hope you enjoyed my empties post. What products have you used up recently? Let me know in the comments.

  1. Bourjois foundations are definitely a winter choice because they're so dewy. Still I can't help but feel heartbroken when I run out :')

    1. Yeah they definitely make really good base products. I've been trying out their CC cream and I really like that as well, I might even do a review on it sometime x

  2. I love Bourjois skin product as they are about the only ones I've found that don't actually break me out horribly! I love their CC cream, it's great for a lighter coverage and really gets rid of redness too! x
