As I buy a lot of makeup there's only so much makeup that you will realistically buy a second time or more. In this post I'm going to talk about the makeup essentials that I've repurchased. So say if all my makeup stash got taken away from me, these are the products that I would repurchase straight away to create an everyday makeup look.
First I'll quickly talk about the foundation that I still love which is the Bourjois Happy Light Foundation in the shade 50. It's a long lasting, semi matte finish, light to medium coverage foundation. I haven't found one that beats it yet(mind you when I love a foundation I tend to stick with it for a long time). You can read a more detailed review of it here if you want to.
Next is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer which is raved about on so many blogs and on so many Youtube videos and there are many reasons why. It's got high coverage, it lasts all day and it's very, very affordable which we all love. I have the shade cool medium which is the second lightest one. I used to get the Fair one but I wanted to try this colour instead and I think it suits me much better than the other one did.
Moving onto the eyes, let's talk about eye liner first. Over the last few years I've really grown to love brown pencil eye liner, maybe even more than a black pencil eye liner as I feel that brown just looks more softer on the eye than wearing black all the time. The one I have here is from L'Oreal and it's the Color Riche Le Khol in the colour 102 Pure Espresso. I find it lasts really well, the colour is lovely as it is this chocolate colour eye liner and it's easily blendable if you want a smudgy look on the eyes. Also from L'Oreal is the Super Liner Perfect Slim which is amazing! The nib is so thin which makes it easy to use, the colour it gives off is the blackest black I've seen in an eye liner and the longevity is great. I did a recent review of this, if you want to check it out I will link this here . For mascara I chose to repurchase the original Maybelline The Falsies mascara. It gives you lovely long lashes full of volume with virtually no effort required. It really is a brilliant mascara that so many people rave about.
Last but not least we have a gorgeous nude pink lipstick (it looks brighter here sorry) from the Mirror Shine Seventeen lipstick range in the shade Beehive. This lipstick gives you a lovely glossy finish, it's very moisturising and for only £4 something, the colour pay off is really great. It's the perfect everyday and every occasion lipstick.
Side note: I forgot to include the powder which I use too- the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the shade Transparent which I feel is the best powder ever as it sets your foundation really well.
I really hope you enjoyed this blog post.
Thanks for reading xxx
The Falsies Mascara is probably the best mascara I've ever purchased, I'm still loving it!

DeleteThe falsies mascara is the one I bought ages ago and then forgot what it was! So cheers :D As currently I'm using scandal eyes by Rimmel London and it's really good, but I just remember being so impressed with that mascara! I remember really liking the borjouis foundation as well but like you I've settled into using a foundation (true match) and dont see me changing any time soon :P
