I feel like it's been a while since I bought any new makeup (which is rare for me) however recently I felt like trying out some newly released products from the drugstore and one of those products was the Rimmel The Only 1 Matte lipsticks. It's been ages since I've tried anything new from Rimmel, so I thought that I'd give these a try. Recently matte lips have been the talk of the town when it comes to lip products and it's not hard to see why-they give off more pigment than sheerer finishes and they last longer than other finishes. I decided to pick up 3 of the shades from the Only 1 line, these were 700 Trendsetter, 200 Salute & 610 High Flyer. Trendsetter is a browny nude colour that would be great for everyday or if you like wearing more earthy tones, on paler skin tones it might show up more as a light brown however it still would be a great shade to wear. Salute is a gorgeous mid warm toned pink shade that I feel would also suit a lot of people as it's more of a neutral warm shade of pink than a really bright warm toned pink, so it would be easier to wear and it would be a fabulous shade for this spring and summer. High Flyer is definitely the most unique shade out of the bunch as it's somewhere between a hot pink and a rasberry red shade if you see what I mean. It's such a beautiful shade which you'll see when I put a photo of the swatches below.

L-R: High Flyer, Trendsetter & Salute

I have to say I'm really impressed with these lipsticks. The pigmentation is fab, it feels really soft while you are wearing them which is not always the case for matte lipsticks and it lasts really well too, definitely a good 4 hours and at one point I had to brush my teeth after some tea and cake as I have removable invisable braces so you always have to brush them after everytime you eat and even after I did that there was still a good amount of colour on my lips (also it was High Flyer which was the brightest shade!). From testing these out I can definitely recommend them highly to you as I feel that they perform just as good as some high end lipsticks that cost way more than these do.

I hope you liked my review of these new Rimmel lipsticks. If you've tried them let me know what you think of them, I'd love to know.

Recently as I've been reading blogs and watching Youtube videos, I've noticed that a new foundation has been stealing the show when it comes to the new affordable makeup products that are out right now. Meet the new L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24H-Matte foundation. This foundation is meant to be 'lightweight, non-cakey' and have '24H matte perfection' for your skin. On the tube it says that the texture is medium, the coverage is high and of course the finish is matte. I definitely agree with this, even though I still do wear concealer under it just to make sure that I have all my dark circles and imperfections covered as I do that out of habit. The only thing I need to point out with this foundation is that because it is such a matte formula you need to make sure that you moisturise well because otherwise it does catch onto dry patches which doesn't look that great. I have oily to combination skin so usually I put a light layer of moisturiser on, but when I wear this I put a bit more on just in case I do have any dry patches that it may cling to.

Apart from that I will tell you why I love this foundation and why I had to purchase it as soon as I saw loads of amazing reviews on it.  So first of all if you do have combination to oily skin you will leap with joy to know that a foundation is completely matte as it means you will only need to use a dusting of powder on top of it, or nothing at all. For this product I use a dusting of powder just to make sure everything does set well in place and that makes it last pretty much all day. I find the coverage does hide any redness and blemishes which is fab so you don't need to worry about any spots poking through your foundation. Other things I love is that it blends like a dream which is surprising for a matte foundation. As it blends so well I use my fingers to blend it in because you don't really need a brush to do it for you. The colour I got 12 Natural Rose is a wonderful colour match for my skin as it's the closest shade to my skin that I've ever encountered from a foundation, it's only a tiny bit darker than my actual skin tone, but you can barely notice so that's good. Lastly I adore the packing because it's in a tube, so it's very practical to store, put in your handbag or take with you travelling.

Here's what it looks like on:

I really hope you liked this review.

Thanks for reading :) xxx
