The Best & Worst Eyeshadow Sticks

Eyeshadow sticks are my most recent must have makeup products for many reasons. One they are really practical and portable so you can take them with you wherever you go which is great if you are always on the go, there's less faff with applying them as you don't need a brush to apply them with and most of the time the colour pay off from most eyeshadow sticks is really good so no wonder that they are so popular nowadays in the beauty world. In this post I'm going to talk about my favourite and not so favourite eyeshadow sticks which will hopefully help you to decide which ones would be best for you.

No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define eyeshadow stick: I have this in the shade Cool Mink which is like a silvery taupe colour. This was the second eyeshadow stick I tried (I tried the Bourjois ones but forgot to include them in this post... whoops!) and I do like it for the pigmentation, the overall colour and the longevity however I find it slightly difficult to apply compared to the rest as it drags on the eyelid a bit but because the colour's really pretty it's worth the drag haha.

Max Factor Wild Shadow Eyeshadow pencil:One thing about this eyeshadow stick is that it's by no means 'wild' at all. In fact it's the least longest lasting one of them all and it has the worst pigmentation of them all too. It's a shame because the colour's actually a really pretty gold...incase you did want to try it out I got it in the shade Caramel Rage but like I said I don't recommend them at all.

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow:You'd be glad to know that this one actually is true to its name, it really does last a long time! It's so good that I have 2, one in the shade 06 and one in the shade 05. O6 is a gorgeous gold and 05 is more of a mauve/rose metallic shadow. These simply glide on your eyes beautifully, the pigmentation is brilliant and like I said they last all day.

I'll insert some photos of them all now:

From lowest to highest: Kiko's 06, Kiko's 05, Max Factor's Caramel Rage & No7's Cool Mink.

I really hope you loved reading this post and I hope it will help you out if you want to buy any eyeshadow sticks in the future.

  2. That KIKO eyeshadow stick sounds so good, I'd love to try something from KIKO but sadly they don't sell it anywhere in Australia. Not sure if they sell online...I should probably look into that!

    1. They do have an online store but they have a bit of a weird method where the products you choose have to come up to a certain amount before you can checkout, so in the UK it's £25. Don't ask why cos I have no idea haha, so I decided to buy mine in the shop xx
