May 2015 Beauty Favourites

Hi everyone, hope you are doing well. So it's favourites time again and I have definitely discovered some amazing products this month. I've even found a new favourite mascara and foundation which I thought would never happen as I was obsessed with my last foundation and mascara choices. So here we go!

I never thought I would be so attached to a neutral eyeshadow palette until I tried the Collection Eyes Uncovered Nude Palette. For such a cheap palette it has all the basic neutral shades you need to create a day to night look and the formula is so creamy and blendable that you kind of forget that it's a drugstore product because the quality is that good. I'll link my review I wrote here in case you want to read more about it.

Probably my top discovery out of all of my favourites is the L'Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Matte foundation ( full review here). The reason for this is because in the past no matter what foundation I've tried it hasn't lasted practically all day like this one does. Even my old favourite Bourjois Happy Light Foundation didn't last as long as this L'Oreal one does and that Bourjois foundation is a good foundation. Another reason why I love the L'Oreal foundation is that it gives you incredible coverage but it doesn't dry your skin out which could easily happen with a matte foundation. I love it!

Ok so from now on all the products I'm going to talk about are from Maybelline. I guess I must have been particularly impressed with some of their products this month. First up is their light pink lip liner in Sweet Pink  from their Coloursensational range. I was looking for a light everyday pink lip liner for ages and so I discovered this one but it took me ages to get my hands on it as it was sold out everywhere-surely that's a sign that it's a good lip liner! I was so happy when I finally found that it was back in stock in Boots and I tried it on as soon as I got home. The pigmentation is great and it does give your lips that slightly plumped look, although I would note you do have to put lip balm on before because it is a tad drying. Other than that I really like it.

Then we have my new favourite mascara- the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. This stuff it amazing! It gives you length, volume and a great curl which stays in place all day unlike other mascaras that look great at the beginning of the day but then by the end of the day they loose their curl and their length, well this one is not like that as it looks brilliant from start to finish.

Last but definitely not least (how cliche of me to say but it's true haha) is the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. This is a silicone based primer that is the perfect canvas to place your foundation onto. If you have oily to combination skin then this type of primer is great as it smooths out your skin without leaving a greasy feeling film behind it. I find my foundation glides on beautifully when I use this and when I'm not wearing foundation it helps to reduce the appearance of my pores really well. I wrote a post when I tried out a sample of this ages ago, you can check that out here. Since then I've been loving it and that sample size I tried was what made me want to buy the full version of it and I'm so glad I did.

I really hope you loved reading my favourites post. What has been your favourites of this month? Comment down below and let me know, I'm nosey like that haha.

Thanks for reading xxx
