Where on earth has the time gone! Seriously it only feels like 2 minutes ago summer had started and now it is September. I'm actually really happy that Autumn is now upon us. It's my favourite season of them because I love the whole cosy aspect of it and I like that it actually gets dark between like 7-8pm which is what the evenings are meant to be like anyway. Also the warming foods and don't get me started on Autumn fashion, it's the best for sure! Anyway before I ramble on anymore I wanted to talk to you about my August Beauty Favourites. I'm not the most consistent when it comes to posting about my beauty favourites as I tend to forget to write about them and so I just tend to carry on with my normal beauty reviews however this time I remembered, which is great.
Let's start with the concealer I've been using for covering my dark circles under my eyes- the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in the shade 01. If you have a light to medium skin tone then I highly recommend that you try this one out. I have really bad hereditary dark circles that means if I don't cover them up I quite literally look like a zombie has awoken from the dead, it's not pretty (pretty dark though, I give you that) so I need something that's heavy duty to cover all the greyness of the area and this does just that without the need to put corrector on underneath, it's amazing!
Next we have my favourite nude lip gloss, which is the Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss in the shade 722. What I love about this gloss is that it gives the lips a very slight plumping or 3D affect if you like to your lips, so they end up looking bigger once you've applied the gloss. It also has an incredible shine to it and best of all it doesn't feel sticky at all, but yet it doesn't disappear from your lips straight away, I love it and I do think it is worth the price tag as even though I'm not the biggest lip gloss fan ever, this product won me over, so there you go.
It would honestly not be a beauty post if I didn't mention at least one Charlotte Tilbury product in my monthly favourites. This time it's a product from her new Hollywood Lips line and it's the liquid lipstick in the shade Too Bad I'm Bad, which is a gorgeous warm hot pink colour that would look fabulous on so many different skin tones. The reason why I went for this one first was because I wanted to try a brighter liquid lipstick as most of the ones I have already are nudes or browns/browny nudes, so I wanted to go for something different and I'm glad i did as this shade really does pack a punch and the formula not only makes your lips look bigger than they are (oh yes!) it actually lasts pretty much all day, even while eating you are still left with colour on the lips, amaaaaaazing!
I love the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara so I had a strong feeling that I would love the waterproof version as well. It performs exactly the same as the original one yet it's completely smudge proof in both the heat and humidity so it really helped me out a lot during the muggy summer we had in London this year and if you are going on holiday in September then I highly recommend that you pick this up before you head off as you will love it and you'll need it on holiday.
My go-to highlighter has been the Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer powder as it gives you a gorgeous champagne sheen to your cheekbones and you can add as much as you want, so if you want the highlighter to make you stand out from afar it can certainly do that for you. It is on the pricier side as I think it's around the £20 mark but you only need a small amount even to get a serious glow, so this will honestly last you for years to come, I'm not even joking (I've had mine for over a year now and I've barely made a dent in it).
Lastly my cream eyeshadow of choice this month has been from the recent Chanel Autumn/Winter 17 collection and it's the Ombre Premiere in the shade 820 Memory which is a beautiful warm toned bronze shade with a hint of golde running through it. It's stunning! I would say if you are planning to get one thing from this new Autumn/Winter makeup collection it should be this as it's the most wearable shade from this line and it's the product that performs the best in my opinion.
I really hope that you enjoyed reading about my August beauty favourites. Let me know in the comments what has been your favourite products to use this month, I'd love to know!

So it's that time of the month again, the time to roundup my most used beauty products of the month and let me tell you I have some real gems to share with you today.
Firstly my most used palette of the month has to be the Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a palette Seductive Beauty. This is the second instant look palette that Charlotte has released so far and I think it's flipping amazing! It contains 3 eyeshadows, 2 blushers, a highlighter and a bronzer all in one well put together palette, so the value of money for this palette is great as you get all those products in one palette. I actually did a whole review for this palette if you want to find out more about ithttp://chantal-elizabeth.blogspot.co.uk/2017/04/charlotte-tilbury-instant-look-in.html
Liquid lipsticks are still having a moment right now and my favourite one that I've tried so far has to be the Nyx Lip Lingerie liquid lipsticks. I own 2 of them however recently they have released some new shades so I'll definitely be popping down to Boots to buy some of the new ones. Anyway the shade that I wore the most this month is shade 6 Push Up which is basically a cool brown toned nude that's still a colour that's quite popular to wear at the moment as it gives a nod to the 90s brown lipsticks that people wore back in the day. This shade is also great because it will suit lots of skin tones from light to medium shades so that's great too.
Cream eyeshadow sticks are so handy to have in your makeup bag, they make application so quick and easy. A few months ago Feel Unique had an offer on so I picked up the Burberry Eye Contour in Almond which is a cool brown shade. You can wear this shade as part of a whole range of different makeup looks as it's a neutral everyday shade and it lasts on the lids all day as once it's set it won't budge which is fantastic.
Highlighter is something that I've recently gotten into and having the right tools to apply it matters just as much as what highlighter you choose. Zoeva is one of my favourite brush brands as they are affordable and they have a wide range of products to choose from. I've been loving using the Zoeva Luxe Fan Brush to apply highter with this month as it picks up the right amount of product so you know that you won't end up with too much highlighter on your face! Also it's such a pretty brush, you can't help but not use it.
An incredible discovery that I made was that to make my eyes look presentable and normal even is to use a mascara specifically for my lower lashes. I wish I knew about this years ago as it would've made my eyes look soooo much better, but I guess you can't change the past, but at least now I can wear it. The product in question that has changed my makeup life is the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara. It's such a brilliant mascara as it balances out my eye shape once I've coated my upper lashes in mascara as it makes the bottom lashes just as long, curly and volumised as my upper lashes are which is great and it doesn't smudege down your face at all like other mascaras do and it lasts all day. I love it!
I really hoped you liked reading about my April Favourites. What were your favourites from the month? I'd love to know.

I've finally remembered to do a monthly favourites post, yay! Usually I forget to write them or I even forget to take note of what my favourites are anyway haha. So these have all been my favourite beauty products to use throughout May and I can honestly say I haven't stopped using them and I haven't even really swapped any of them round, so that shows that I really like all these products.
First up is the Tarte Tartelette In Bloom eyeshadow palette. This is the follow up to their original Tartelette eyeshadow palette. Whilst the original palette focussed on more cool and purple based tones the Tartlette In Bloom has more of a warmer feel to it and it's definitely more brown based overall compared to the other palette. It's the only palette I've been using this month, which just shows you how much I love it. Also the packaging is just beautiful! I'll do a review of this product later down the line with swatches so you can see what the shadows look like.
In terms of lip products my favourite lipsticks this month are from Mac and Revlon. Mac's Velvet Teddy is now such a staple in many beauty blogger's makeup bags, one because of the whole 90s trend being in and also because of KJ (we have to admit that is a reason even if we don't want it to be) and I absolutely love it and can't get enough of it! It's the lipstick that made me realise that I actually suit brown lipstick really well, who knew! It's a lovely entry level brown that suits lots of different skin tones because even though it's brown it's a light/warm toned brown, so it's easy to wear and it's the perfect lisptcik if you want to channel the 90s trend. Another brown lipstick I've been loving is Whirl which is a fairly new lipstick from Mac as it came out last year. I bought it a few months ago and I really, really like it. Whirl is more of a traditional 90s brown as it's very dark and slightly cooler in tone but if you are into you're brown lips I guarantee you will adore it. If you also wore it with a very 90s inspired outfit then you'll have the look nailed! From Revlon I've been loving the Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie which is a very light berry pink shade. Usually I don't get on with berry shades but as this is more of a pink based berry shade with most of it being pink, I can get away with wearing it and I will also definitely be wearing it when it gets into the colder months.
Next we'll move onto skincare. At the end of last year I received a free sample of Lancome's Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector which basically fills in any pores or fine lines that you may have and considering I have lots of open pores that need filling in this is great. I kind of use it as a moisturiser before I put my makeup on as I find it provides the moisture I need without feeling too heavy on the skin. Also a little goes a long way which is good as it's quite a pricey product, but it's so worth it as it's skincare that works! (plus since using it I've hardly had any spots which is amazing considering I have oily/combination skin).
I've been sticking to primer for once which is a good thing. I've been using the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser which really does minimise pores and it helps the foundation and concealer glide so smoothly over your skin which makes for an easier application which is great. I reviewed it here if you want to find out more about it.
A quick mention to a single eyeshadow I've been loving which is the Natural Collection Eyeshadow in Milk Chocolate. I watched a video once where someone mentioned this was a dupe for Mac's Cork eyeshadow so I instantly bought it after that. I've had it for about 6 months now and this month I rediscovered it. It's the perfect mid tone brown shade to have and you can't afford not to try it at £1.99 for one eyeshadow.
NYX has recently entered some Boots stores and when I went up to London a few months ago I noticed that they had a stand so I picked out two different products to try. One of them was the Butter Glosses and the other was the Soft Matte Lip Creams. My favourites out of the Butter Glosses so far are Tiramisu and Eclair and my favourite out of the Soft Matte Lip Creams is Zurich. I won't go into too much detail now as I want to do reviews on those products but so far I'm very impressed by them, especially with how affordable they are.
A mention also needs to go to the mascara I've been trying out which is the L'Oreal Paris False Lash Sculpt mascara. It has such an unusual and thin wand but it somehow is able to give your lashes amazing length and volume which I was surprised with. It does give off that slightly clumpy look but if you don't mind that then you'll like this mascara.
I hope you enjoyed reading about my May Beauty Favourites, let me know what your beauty favourites have been this month, I'd love to know.
