So recently I picked up one of the Maybelline Baby Lips Electro lip balms in Strike A Rose (you can check out the review here) and I loved it so much that I bought another one in the shade Oh! Orange! The reason why I picked up this second shade was out of pure curiosity. I wanted to know whether I would suit an orange lip and surprisingly it didn't look too bad at all. Again like the other shade I tried it's very pigmented and it does feel very moisturising on the lips. It then occurred to me that orange would be the perfect shade to wear on your lips for Halloween, so I wanted to show you a picture of what it looks like on the lips.
This is perfect if you are dressing up as a pumpkin or actually you could wear it with any makeup look really as orange is a typical colour for Halloween. Plus for £2.99 you can't go wrong with trying it out.
I hope you liked this post

When I heard that Maybelline were bringing out more shades from their Baby Lips range I had to go and check them out. This new collection is called Baby Lips Electro as these new shades are meant to give you more colour than the original lip balms and that's exactly what they do. I wanted to buy one of the pink shades first before I tried any of the other shades, so I bought the shade Strike A Rose which is like a magenta pink. It's quite bright for a lip balm. Actually it's very bright for a typical tinted lip balm, but that's why I love the whole Baby Lips range as they really do give you a pop of colour to your lips. The application is really easy, it doesn't emphasise any dry patches that might be on your lips and it lasts quite well for a lip balm. This is the perfect shade if you want to start experimenting with brighter shades, but you don't want to buy a lipstick or a lip gloss just yet. Most importantly it really does moisturise your lips very well, so you are left with soft looking (and feeling) lips. Did I mention it's only £2.99?. No, well it is, so it's a bargin too!
I liked the packaging that it came in, so I had to take a photo haha.
On my lips (excuse the pesky spot on the left hahaha).
And this is what it looks like from slightly further away. Yes my hair is not perfectly straight, but hair can't be perfectly groomed all of the time.
I really hope you enjoyed this review :) Let me know what you think of these new Baby Lips Lip Balms.
