Apologies for not doing a post for ages but whenever this time of year rolls round let's all be honest no one knows what day it is anyway so people completely forget about their routines/schedules and now we are meant to appreciated that it's 2016, like what! Anyway let's move on haha. I'm sure we've all had visions of being in a James Bond film, everything about them is just so glamorous, sauve, sophisticated, but yet gritty at the same time and the Bond girls have always been a key part of the films. I know that there's a very unlikely chance of me playing a Bond girl or ever being in a James Bond film but I can still dream and anyway thinking about it I'd rather be one like Moneypenny who doesn't get tangled up in Bond's business but more importantly has less chance of dying or that kind of character anyway. You're probably thinking how the hell does this have anything to do with lipstick, well my favourite lipstick of 2015 was the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Bond Girl, so there you go.

This lipstick completely changed the way I looked at darker lipstick shades as usually they never seem to suit me, whether they be plummy colours or dark and vampy reds I could never wear them at all until I got this particular shade. I'd always wanted to try one of Charlotte's Matte Revolution lipsticks but I didn't know what type of shade to go for, apart from the fact I didn't want a safe nude shade. Eventually I chose this one and it was love a first swatch. I'm thinking of the best way to describe the shade, it's kind of like a very dark red with a hint of brown to it I guess? I'll leave the swatch photos for you to see anyway. Apart from the fact that it actually suits me I love it because it's matte yet it feels super creamy on your lips (strange but true), it lasts a reasonably long time and the colour pay off is fantastic. It's just brilliant and as it's a more wearable dark shade I think it will suit a lot of people too which is a bonus and I know it does cos I've seen tonnes of Youtubers and bloggers wear it and they all have completely different skin tones to each other. Definitely one to check out if you can.

The square tip id meant to make application easier and it actually kind of does make it easier

These retail for £23 so it is on the pricer side but it is so worth it and even if you're not keen on this shade I'm sure there will be another one you'd love.

Thanks for reading my post

See you soon xxx
