Lip gloss is not an item of makeup that I'm completely in love with, however I do find in the summer months I do start whipping it out more often than before because once the weather does get hot sometimes you don't feel like wearing a full on heavy looking pout, but yet you still want to add some colour and definition to your lips. Now that I've actually built up a small collection of lip glosses I'd thought I would show you what ones I have in my collection and why I like them so much.
So let's take a look at the shades:
Rimmel London Vinyl Gloss lip gloss in Take A Chance- Is a pretty everyday pink with a touch of gold shimmer to it, so it makes it more of a girly shade, however it's not that shimmery where it's too in your face to wear it which is what makes it very wearable.
Barry M Lip Gloss in shade 2: This is my go-to and only nude lip gloss. It's the perfect pinky browny nude with high pigmentation and with just enough shine to wear for the day time, but it's pigmented enough to wear as an evening nude lip gloss if you wanted to wear it then as well because the colour payoff is so great. Another great point is that it smells of caramel, yum. They've actually discontinued this particular range of lip glosses but they've replaced it with another lip gloss which is practically the same shade as this one, however the shade number is now 6 (from what I remember anyway haha).
Tanya Burr lip glosses in Afternoon Tea, Picnic In The Park and Aurora: Ok so these are my favourite lip glosses ever in the whole wide world and I know that's a huge statement to make but it's true for many reasons. One is that they are extremely pigmented, they almost look like sheer liquid lipsticks once they are on the lips as they are that colourful. Next is that they are really glossy without being overly sticky, like how does that ever usually happen, but with these they do as they have the right amount of stickyness to stay on the lips but they have the perfect glossy finish to make your lips look amazing. The other reason why I love them is because they give your lips that plumped up 3D effect which other glosses promise you to give but they never do. The three shades I have are: Afternoon Tea which is a pale nudey pink shade so it's great for any look really (this one does look paler on me than I thought it would but I think I can just about get away with wearing it), Picnic In The Park which is a fab warmed toned summery pink colour that adds real ooomph to your look and is my fave out of the three and then there's Aurora which is a slightly purple pink toned gloss that looks very gorgeous and it's a shade you don't usually find from other brands.
I really hoped you enjoyed reading about my favourite lip glosses. What are your favourite lip glosses?
Thanks for reading

I'm someone who always buys backups of things that I either need or know that I really, really like and I think you either are a backup person or you're not. When it comes to cosmetics I have a spare makeup bag in my drawer where I keep all of my everyday essentials that I know I would wear all the time. You could also think of it as an emergency makeup bag, so if you had to suddenly pack a makeup bag with all your must haves, then this would be it. So let's begin!
Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder to keep your foundation in place so it doesn't slip off your face, especially with all this abnormally hot weather we've been having recently (UK peeps know that 30 degrees+ is not our normal summer temperature).
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer the most popular concealer in the world (well at least when it comes to the blogging and vlogging community). It covers all spots and blemishes, stays in place all day and is matte enough not to break you out but creamy enough to blend into your skin really well.
L'Oreal Paris Infalliable 24H Matte Foundation is the best foundation that I've found in a long, long time as it covers really well, blends in really easily and stays on for a long time, plus it has a matte finish so you never get that oily feeling you can get with wearing some other foundations. (full review here if you'd like to read more about it).
L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick in 235 Nude this is my go to nude lipstick. If I had to pick one to wear for the rest of my life it would be this one. It is a pinky nude with a very subtle hint of brown running through it which means it suits my skin tone very well, but I know it's a shade that will suit so many skin tones so I would recommend it to a lot of people.
Seventeen Mirror Shine Lipstick in Beehive I discovered this lipstick when I was on the hunt for a pale pink shade that would be great for everyday wear and I really love it. It's actually quite glossy for a lipstick which makes it different to other lipsticks I have in my collection. The one you see in the photo above I actually won with a blog giveaway along with a few other things, so I was soooo happy when I knew this was one of the prizes as I love this lipstick a lot.
Barry M Lip Boss Lip Gloss is a newer version of my favourite older Barry M lip gloss which was in the shade 2, this newever version is pretty much the same nude colour but the shade number is now 5 and I absolutely adore it. If you are looking for the perfect browny nude everyday lip gloss then this is it.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara is the best mascara I've tried in ages as it gives loads of volume, curls your lashes and it makes your lashes look super long, almost like you are wearing slightly natural looking false lashes, it's amazing.
All the eyeliners so I have a few options to choose from. The black pencil eyeliner is one I got free from a magazine a while ago from Model CO, the brown pencil is a L'Oreal one and the black liquid liner is again from L'Oreal and it's without a doubt the easiest liquid eyeliner to use so I'm a big fan of that.
Let me know if any of you like to buy backups of their favourite makeup products, surely I can't be the only one haha.
Hope you enjoyed the post.

Hi there. I wanted to show you the products I've been using a lot throughout July, so here they are:
1. MUA Undressed Eye Shadow Palette- This has been my go-to eye shadow palette since I bought it a few months back. It's just brilliant! It's a neutral palette with some extra colours including golds, pinks and blues that are very complimentary on everyone. I've been wearing the brown gold and the olive brown colours the most as they look really pretty. This is just a must have for everyone (in my opinion) as it has all of the neutral colours that you need for everyday use but you can also use them for a night time smoky eye look. Also at £4 you can't really go wrong here.
2. Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss- I have to be honest I really didn't like this product that much before because of the colour. This lip balm has a very nude peach colour to it which if I wore alone would make me look a bit dead. However recently I've been using this as my lip balm if I've been too lazy to use my Carmex in a pot balm and it does the job well. If I then have to suddenly go out my lips are moisturised so all I have to do is apply a nude lipstick on top to make it more wearable for me, then I'm off. So this month it has been a surprisingly loved product.
3. Barry M Lip gloss in number 11- I've had this lip gloss for such a long time now but it's still going strong and it still has that gorgeous sweet scent to it. This is a lovely warm pink lip gloss that suits everyone. Literally. I've seen so many YouTubers talk about this particular shade which proves that it's great. It's non sticky, really well pigmented and it doesn't come off straight away in the wind. It's a winner.
4. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey- I loooove this. Again I've had this for ages but it really is still a firm favourite of mine due to the longevity of this pretty colour. On application it goes on as a coloured balm. Leave it a while, then you notice it leaves you a lovely stain. This colour is more of a slightly mauve pink but it's still a great everyday colour. For the night time this has been great because once the stain sets, it will last on your lips all night no matter how much you eat or drink. So if there's one lip product I would recommend for you to wear on a night out, it would be this one.
I really hope you enjoyed my July Monthly Favourites :)
See you soon xxx
