I didn't ask for much for Christmas last year, however there was one thing I really wanted to get which was the YSL Black Opium Eau De Toilette perfume and luckily I did and I was very, very grateful to receive it. It's by far my favourite perfume I've ever smelt so far. It just smells really sophisticated and grown up even as it has a darker scent to it than any perfume I've had before. I can't tell you exactly what notes are in this perfume so excuse me while I quote from YSL's website so you know the exact details of what's in the fragrance: 'The hedonistic black coffee note of the original Black Opium scent is transformed into an ultra-luminous green coffee accord with a heart of Jasmine Tea on a base of sensual Patchouli, white woods and musk'.

They also mention all the notes on the website too, saying that the top notes are 'Blackcurrent Accord, Pear Accord and Green Mandarin Essence'. The Heart notes are 'Jasmine Tea, Orange Blossom and Floral Solar Accord' and the Base Notes are 'Coffee Accord, White Musks and Blond Woods'.

To me I can definitely smell the musk, coffee and orange in it the most, but also to me it kind of smells a bit like rich dark chocolate for some reason haha. I have the 30ml version which is £39, it may sound expensive for that (which it is) however I love it so much that when it eventually does run out I will be repurchasing it again, but if you'd rather have a 50ml one then that would set you back £52, so almost a pound for 1ml. Either way it's a fabulous perfume and I highly recommend it.

I hope you enjoyed this review

I was lucky enough to receive some lovely gifts as stocking fillers last Christmas and this product was one of them. This is the YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in the shade 7 Corail Aquatique. The glossy stain formula goes on like a typical gloss, but once you leave it for some time it turns into a lip stain and because of this the colour does go a bit darker than it does when you first put it on. At first this goes on a lovely coral pink colour, once it dries it turns into a darker pink, which is still a great colour, but bare in mind that there is a colour change. The applicator has a pointed shape to it, which means it makes the application really precise and pretty easy to get the hang of. You do need to apply 2 coats of this to get the full colourful and glossy impact you are expecting to see from it.

As you can see from the photos the packaging it really pretty, so you are definitely getting your money's worth when it comes to that. In terms of the product it is a lovely lip stain to wear as it feels and looks really great on, however I wouldn't say that you can't find anything else like this in the drugstore because I'm pretty sure you can. I'd say that if you can afford it great, but if you can't or don't want to buy it then I'm sure there are more affordable options out there, or you could ask for someone to give it to you as a present perhaps. It retails for £26- definitely a luxurious price tag so I'm very happy I have it and I do really, really like it.

What it looks like once it's applied.

I really hope you liked this review. If you have one of these tell me what you think of them, I'd love to know.

Thanks for reading my blog xxx
