We all get swamped into buying loads of different kinds of makeup products due to over seen and over used adverts that get thrown in our faces and I'm definitely guilty of caving into buying the 'new product that everyone needs' when I know I really don't need it. That's why in this post I'm going back to basics by talking to you about my three beauty products that I honestly can't live without. So in other words if my whole makeup stash got stolen these are the products that I will go out and re-purchase first of all.
Ok so first I'll talk about concealer. Who really needs foundation when concealer can help to cover up all your blemishes and if you buy one that suits your skin tone, well then that's a bonus. But even if you don't, at least it will give you more pin point coverage than foundation. I would choose one that for me works both under the eyes and on spots, like the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, as I have inherited dark under eye circles and I still get annoying spots from time to time which this covers up.
Next is of course mascara. Mascara can make the most difference when it comes to making your eyes look more awake as it gives you length and volume, especially if you get a good mascara. I love to use the Maybelline The Falsies mascara but I tend to alternate between the original one and the Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama mascara. which I actually did a review of a while back. It gives you black, dramatic and long lashes with little effort, it's brilliant.
Finally it's now time to talk about lipstick. I'm obsessed with lipsticks as I always feel that my makeup look is not complete until I've put on a bit of lippie. A fail safe choice that you can not go wrong with is a nude lipstick like the L'Oreal Made For Me Natural lipstick in 235 Nude. This is the perfect nude that would suit pretty much everyone as it is not too nude but it's not too brown, it's the perfect pinky nude lip colour that goes with every makeup look you will create.
Just a side note, I don't use any brow products because I have a full fringe that 99% of the time covers them up, so I don't need to apply any makeup on them. If you were interested to know what I do to manage my brows, I actually pluck them. Yes it hurts a bit, but it gets the job done!
I really hope you enjoyed this post. What are your must-have, essential makeup items?
See you soon xxx
